First Flight of the First Production EA-18G Growle

The first production EA-18G Growler took its maiden flight on Sept. 10, 2007, with Boeing pilot Greg Bigalk and Boeing weapon systems officer Dana Perkins aboard. Derived from the combat proven F/A-18F aircraft, the EA-18G will be the cornerstone of the U.S. Navy's airborne electronic attack (AEA) mission.
