The Apache program reached a major milestone in 2015 when the U.S. Army announced the delivery of the 100th AH-64E Apache from Boeing’s attack helicopter facilities in Mesa, Ariz.It has been more than 30 years since the first AH-64A was delivered to the U.S. Army, but the helicopter’s planned modernization efforts keep its capabilities, including Manned Unmanned Teaming, on the leading edge of technology. Manned Unmanned Teaming — manned aircraft working with unmanned aerial systems — expands an aviator’s situational awareness to enhance mission effectiveness.
